I think he married Sarah Beer born 1780. 14 children, Joseph, William, John, Balser, Richard, James, Jeremiah, Jacob, Sarah, Samuel, Elizabeth, Thomas, Polly, Peggy. He and his wife Mary had some children I boy was Solomon L. Payne and one was Eleazer born in 1804 Eleazer Payne from Tennessee was my GGrandfather. I am strongly believeing that Eleazer Payne, Solomon Payne son is that Eleazer. I can find no trace of his Parents. I would be grateful for any help. Solomon and Mary are buried in Portage somewhere around Rootstown.

MILLER posted by C. Handy on Saturday, May 12, 2001: Miller\Carris I'm searching for Henry Miller who married Rachel Carris in Portage Co. on Sept. 22, 1839. Henry was born in abt. 1813 in Lancaster Co. Pa. Moved with is parents to Trumbull Co. Then moved to Portage Co. He lived in Portage Co. till 1860, sold his property and moved to Batavia, Michigan. Can anyone tell me who Henry's parents are or his childrens names? According to his obit, he died in 1888 in Batavia, Michigan, leaving his wife Rachel and six children. He married Lucy Ann Taylor 1-30-1854 in Portage Ohio. Lucy was born 9-22-1838 and is the daughter of William w. Taylor and Mindwell Kemp. Michael and Lucy later moved to Dubuque Iowa and then to Nodaway County, Missouri.

They lived in Munson, Geauga Co., OH where their two son's were probably born: 1st: Ai Harmon HAYDEN was b 1883; d 1938 & was bur in Thompson Cem,Thompson,Geauga Co, OH. He prob married abt 1903. Ai Harmon HAYDEN had 2 sons, Philip F. HAYDEN of Ravenna, Portage Co, OH and Austin HAYDEN of Thompson, Geauga Co, OH. 2nd: M.D. HAYDEN I think was b 29 Oct 1885 & d Sep 1965 in Chardon,Geauga Co,OH. He m abt 1905 May WINCHELL inchell, a school teacher, who was b 27 Aug 1886 and d May 1983 Chardon,Geauga Co,OH. They lived in Chardon, Geauga Co, OH and had no known children. The father of the two HAYDEN son's above was actually named Lyman Austin WOODARD at birth on 11 Feb 1857 in Munson,Geauga Co, OH. He was one of the 8 or 9 children born to Wilson WOODARD & Silala TRUMAN (my gr-gr-grandparents). After "Austin's" mother died abt 1857 in Kirtland and was bur in the Mormon cemetery in Kirtland, OH, "Austin" was adopted by Anson & Harriet TRUMAN -HAYDEN by the age of three.
