Benjamin Raspilair died in Brimfield,Portage County, June 6, 1935. His death certificate lists him as a fruit and poultry farmer, he was known to be a glassblower in earlier years. His death certificate was signed by his son, Alphonse. Benjamin was born in France and lived in Jeannete, PA, Anderson, IN, and Clarksburg, WV before coming to OH in about 1924. Other members of the family who lived in Portage County were Fanny, m Emil Slapak. and I think, Alice, m Wm McClain. Benjamin's wife was Claudia Marie Darqueene from Belgium and they married in Pittsburgh and lived in Jeannete, PA for a short while. My husband's father Joseph was the oldest child b Anderson, IN in 1896. If anyone connects to any of these families, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks, Bickie

Delos W. MORRIS, b.11/4/1833 (according to a family list),son of Sidney R. MORRIS and (wife 2) Nancy MILLER (a widow?), married Anna WOOD 3/18/1862 in Geauga Co. Delos W. later married Samantha FLICK (born Trumbull 1847)in Trumbull Co. (mar.12/23/1885). The family list says they probably lived in Garretsville. No children are known for Delos in either marriage. Sidney R. MORRIS b.1807, Geneva NY came to Montville with parents and siblings in 1821. "Family list" says he died 3/29/18 and buried in "Hemeston", OH- a name not found on my maps. Sidney MORRIS also married Nancy UDALL-another report. ANY CLUES helping to clear conflicting information is sorely needed. Can you Help?? I will provide any data to you I can. Roger

Pownall, died December 10, 1831 at age 20 years, 7 months. Probably Joseph’s first wife. TVR could not distinguish with certainty the date. According to H.H. Robb, Joseph P. Pownall went to Missouri where he died and was buried. There was an intimation that Joseph had fled Ohio to escape the consequences of some illegal act. “Grandma Robb’s father, Grandpa Pownall, migrated to Missouri where he died and is buried. Grant, Minnie, and Emma live in Williams County. Six grandchildren, also three brothers and two sisters are left to travel life’s way without her. Mrs. Robb united with the church when 18 years of age and has ever lived a devoted Christian life and several times in her last sickness expressed herself ready and willing should the summons come. She often spoke of her trust in Christ as her Savior and had great faith in prayer. Mrs. Robb had an active disposition and enjoyed work. She was careful and orderly about her home. Anyone who enjoyed the hospitality of her home must have noticed the perfect order that prevailed there.
