There was an article in the Beacon Journal in 1910 which showed a family with several children and suitcases. The youngest one was offered for adoption. His name was Carl Edwin Elliott and he was adopted by the Bean family. Mrs. Mary Bean was his adoptive mother. Does anyone know anything about these circumstances or how I can research this further?

ABBOTT, CHURCHILL, ROGERS posted by Richard Parish on Sunday, January 10, 1999: I am searching for information on Lucretia Rogers (born 1790-1800), daughter of Richard Rogers, who married Stephen Churchill in Randolph, Portage County, Ohio in 1815. She and Stephen moved to Canada where he died. She then moved back to town and married an older man, Erastus Abbott, who lived on the line of Suffield Township. I have been trying to find where she might be buried but am having no luck. I believe she died about 1838. If you have any information on these people, would you please contact me? Thanks Rich

I am trying to locate the death place of Augustus D. Booth , father of Charles A. Booth. Charles, Augustus's father, Lewis, and Lewis's father, Eli are all buried in Edinburg cemetary, but cannot find Augustus and his wife's burial place. Please help if you can. HOON, LONG, WELDY posted by Jackie Woodring on Friday, January 15, 1999: Philip LONG 1783-1874 and his wife Elizabeth WELDY 1795-1875 came from Pa. before 1820 and settled in Deerfield Twp. They are both buried in Mott Cemetery. Their known children were Solomon b. 1832, Cyrene b. 1834 and Elizabeth (BAGENT) b. 2836. I know there were many other children but I have no names. Cyrene married Harriet HOON IN 1859 and lived in Ravenna. I would appreciate any information on the other children in this family as well as the parents of both Philip and Elizabeth. Thank you.

SIMSON, THOMPSON posted by Bob Saunders on Wednesday, January 20, 1999: I'm trying to obtain specific birth and death information for Louisa Ann THOMPSON who m. Andrew T. SIMSON, 6 Jan. 1819, Portage Co., OH. Family tradition says she was born in 1798 and died 13 April 1850. The first four SIMSON children - Harriet b. 1819, Emeline b. 1821, Louisa b. 1823, and Jennett b. 1825 - may have been born in Portage Co. All of these children died in 1825, possibly in an epidemic. Any additional information would be appreciated. I would be glad to share information about this family.

Terry b.15 Dec. 1823 in N.Y. state but married Helen Marie Day in Ravena on 18 Dec. 1849. there was a Timothy Terry listed in the 1840 census living in Ravena, also a PLuma Terry was said to have moved there and worked in a grocery store.Any ideas how to check on them. They had two dtrs, Minnie and Mary Louise. Mary Louise Scripture Lockwood (1873 - 1915) is my grandmother. Looking for info on Mary Price's siblings, parents, etc. Clark Scripture had two sisters, died in 1873 of wound incurred in Civil War as member of the Light Artillery. He was a Lieutenant. Looking for info on Clark's parents, etc.
