Children, Allen LEE, b. 1818 in Southwick,Hampden Co., Mass. There was four younger siblings, names unknown, possibly three boys and one girl, born in Suffield, Hartford Co. Conn. per 1820 & 1830 Conn. census. They also lived in Granby, Hartford Co. Conn. After Hiram LEE died, Julia and Allen moved to Troy, Geauga co., Ohio about 1834. I don't know if the siblings went with them. In 1848 Allen LEE married Marinda E.RYDER b.1826, they had three children, Edwin A. LEE, b. 1848, Jason H. LEE b. 1851 and Frank W. LEE b.1853, all born in Hiram Ohio. About 1864 Allen LEE and his family moved to Trenton, Grundy Co.,Ohio. The where abouts of Allen LEE'S siblings and mother is unknown.

BACON, MORRIS posted by on Monday, November 17, 1997: Enos MORRIS emmigrated from Wales to Portage County April 1881 and married Martha BACON of Palmyra April 1888. Children were Harley, Ruby, Albert, Ray and Frank Ernest. Martha was daughter of Gustavus and Mary BACON who owned a farm of about 100 acres in Palmyra. Martha died February 1939, Enos about 1927. In 1940 Ruby lived in Diamond, Ohio and died 1989. I would be grateful for any information about the family.

KNOWLTON posted by William Dale Allen on Thursday, November 27, 1997: First question: Does anyone know which Union Army Militia Regiments recruited in Portage county from 1861 to 1865? We are trying to pin down which of our KNOWLTONs may have served in the Civil War. Second question: We have been unable to determine where our Jared Wright KNOWLTON came from when he migrated to Portage County. He was born in Connecticut, married in Massachusetts, and may have lived in Rensselaer County, New York before Portage County. It might be that he migrated to Ohio with other New England families shortly after the War of 1812, since he was a veteran of that war. Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
